Right from GoldMine’s contact window you can send an email to the current record! Simply click on the word “E-mail”…

GoldMine will automatically open a new email window where you can compose and send your new email.
Before attempting though, be sure your outgoing mail server (SMTP) and reply address (Your email address) are filled out in your preferences. (Edit | Preferences | Internet). If you are not sure of these settings check with your IT support or internet service provider.

Usually this will be all you need to set so just click OK to be done. However, if your outgoing mail server requires authentication, etc. that can be set under Accounts | Edit | Advanced Options.

If your IT department or ISP says, “No!”… Check out a service like www.smtp.com which offers very inexpensive outgoing mail ability.
When email is sent from GoldMine it’ll automatically be logged in the History tab – and any reply will still come into your standard mail reader.
