So Easy, Yet So Useful: How To Print A Filter

Traveling this evening…  Did a one-on-one Automated Process training today in Grand Rapids and am spending the night in Kalamazoo for a GoldMine Standard to Premium upgrade tomorrow!

... anyway!

This is probably one of the most common questions I get in classes and consulting…

“How do I print a list of the contacts in a filter!?!?”

Fortunately, the answer is easy, we do it from the Contact Search Center!

First decide which fields (Company, contact, phone number, address, etc.) you want to have for each contact, we covered that here:

http://www.thegmblog.com/2006/10/customize_search_center_column.php

Second, pick the filter you want to print, we covered that here:

http://www.thegmblog.com/2007/08/a_more_complete_view_of_filter_2.php

Third, print the results.  We do that by going to the Printer icon in the Contact Search Center Toolbar and selecting our preferred Output method.  Excel works, by far, the best!

Is there a way to add email addresses to the filter?

No... For that you'd need a SQL Query...
