Keeping Private Activities Private in GoldMine!

A central tenant of GoldMine is its ability to share information from contacts to calendars… However, from time to time, you really don’t want your colleagues knowing what you’re doing!

You’re going to the dentist, is that really anyone else’s business?

Fortunately, we have a very easy way of keeping that private.  When scheduling an activity in GoldMine, we just need to check the Private box.  It’s highlighted below.

Then when someone, without master rights, views your calendar, they’ll see the time blocked off but no other information.

I did use the caveat, ‘Without Master Rights’.  An administrator can see everything… So an interview at another company, probably not something to put anywhere in GoldMine, or anywhere else for that matter!
