GoldMine’s alarms are great for reminding you of a pending call, appointment or other activity that needs to be done.
Turning an alarm on for a particular activity is pretty easy, check the alarm button when scheduling an activity.
With a small tweak to our <<username.ini>> file, we can set GoldMine to automatically turn the alarm on for certain activities.
First, open your <<username.ini>> file, e.g. “chad.ini”, this will be found where GoldMine is installed.
Next, find the [GMAlarm] Section.
We’re going to add a new line just after [GMAlarm], “OnByDefault=”.
Following the "=" sign, should be activity types you want the alarm automatically turned on for…
A – Appointment
C – Call Back
D – To-Do
E – Event
M – Message
O – Other
Q – Queued Email
S – Forecasted Sale
T – Next Action
